Betty has over 40 years of experience in the beauty industry. She became a licensed instructor in 1986, inspiring students with her expertise in a wide range of topics, including Cosmetology, Barbering, Manicuring, Esthetics, Master Esthetics, Massage Therapy, and Business. Over the years, she has managed schools and opened multiple salons. Betty opened Elite Cosmetology, Barber & Spa Academy in 2010, and, being licensed in all fields, can fill in teaching whenever necessary. In her spare time, Betty enjoys spending time with her family and going to church, as well as channeling her creativity into cake decorating and floral arrangements

After 40+ years of machining, maintenance and welding, Roger retired to oversee the Financial Department at Elite. His experience as a teacher has helped him in successfully managing students and their accounts over the years. When he’s not working, you can find him on the golf course, fishing, or at a family get together.

Jordan has worked at Elite since 2021. She takes pride in making the enrollment process as smooth as possible and helping students feel comfortable with their financial aid and payment plans, so they can focus on what matters most. Since 2021, Dawn’s friendly face and open-door-policy have made the office a welcoming environment. She encourages students to take the necessary steps to ensure they are successful during their programs and following graduation. Dawn has been licensed in manicuring since 2023 and is working toward her instructor license. Outside of work, spending quality time with her family is her priority.

Carolina’s experience in the beauty industry and instructor profession allows her to manage staff and students with grace and understanding, backed with an extensive knowledge base. With 25 years of experience in a variety of beauty professions, Carolina has fostered student success as an instructor for half of her career in the beauty industry. She specializes in hair and skin and uses her patience and adaptability to cater to different learning styles, preparing students with a solid foundation in their profession. When she’s not at work, you can find her spending time outdoors and with her family.

Amanda brings 33 years of experience to the salon floor. She has been working as an instructor since graduating from our instructor program in 2023. She specializes in corrective color, extensions and hair cutting. During her spare time, she enjoys decorating, sewing, crafting and working in her greenhouse.

With 25 years of experience in a variety of beauty professions, Carolina has fostered student success as an instructor for half of her career in the beauty industry. Julia has worked as an instructor for 5 years, sharing extensive knowledge gained from her 38 years of experience in the beauty industry. Her strong suits include color and hair cutting. Outside of work you can find her on a walk, swimming at the pool, or playing basketball with her grandson.

After taking our YV-Tech Cosmetology program in high school, then graduating from our Cosmetology and Instructor programs, Koraima has gained 2+ years of experience as a hair stylist and has been an instructor at Elite for 1 year, spending most of her time teaching our YV-Tech students. She is patient, caring and extremely passionate about teaching. She stays active working behind the chair, specializing in braiding and haircuts, which allows her to share real-world experience with hands-on education. In her spare time, you can find her working on her family’s farm.

Lucia has worked in the beauty industry for 9 years and has dedicated 7 of those years as an instructor at Elite. Being licensed in a variety of beauty professions allows her the flexibility and freedom to help a wide variety of students. When not at work, you can find her spending quality time with her three beautiful kiddos.

With over 6 ½ years in the massage therapy field, Sabrina has brought both hands-on experience and a passion for teaching into her first year as an instructor. She loves to help others grow, build confidence, and realize their full potential – caring for people and seeing them succeed is truly what drives her. Outside of work you can find her spending time with family and enjoying the outdoors.

Susy has worked as an instructor for 7 years, using her 24 years of experience to help students succeed. She specializes in hair cutting, with her favorites being pixies and men’s cuts. When she is not at work, you can find her spending time with her niece and nephew.

Tracy has 25 years of experience in the beauty industry and has used her variety of licenses to help a wide array of students during her 22 years as an instructor. Her strong suits include short haircuts, perming and styling. After work, you can find her at the thrift store or at home crafting.

With 33 years of experience in her field, and 8 as an instructor, Tina brings kindness, patience and a sprinkle of humor to our YV-Tech classrooms. She prides herself in meeting everyone where they are at in their own learning styles, bringing students out of their shells and building their confidence to get them work ready for the industry. In her spare time, you can find her caring for her 30+ houseplants, birdwatching, or wishing on shooting stars.
